40Summary:
The IR Radiographer is responsible for operating the radiographic equipment and scrubbing in to assist the physician during Interventional Radiology procedures through the application of advanced technical and clinical knowledge. Functions in collaboration with physicians, physician assistants, and/or nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to provide expert care for all ages from neonatal/newborn to adults, with acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support. Adheres to organizational policies and regulatory compliance standards for radiation safety.
Schedule:
10-hour shifts
0800-1630 Monday-Friday, with variable day off each week
Once trained, this position includes rotational on-call coverage nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
This job serves patients from infancy (neonates) to 18 years of age
Minimum of 2 years radiology experience
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
ARRT Certified
Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist
Certified in BCLS
PALS certification must be completed within 6 months of hire
