WAGE RANGE*: $40-$44

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on software QA experience.
  • Experience performing acceptance testing.
  • Experience performing functional testing.
  • Experience automating test scenarios and scripts.
  • Experience performing exploratory testing.
  • Experience performing regression testing.
  • Experience performing backend testing, incl. ETL test reports.
  • Experience writing SQL queries preferred.
  • Experience with defect management processes and tools.
  • Experience with IBM Rational for Load for Performance Testing.
  • Experience with JAWS and WAVE for Accessibility Testing preferred.
  • Basic understanding of API testing will be a plus.
  • Experience with writing test plans and test reports.
  • Experience with testing on multiple platforms/environments.
  • Experience using an automated test tool and test management tools (UI Path Studio preferred)
  • Experience working collaboratively or teaming with another contractor in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Experience in using quality control processes to ensure that products, deliverables, and data are standardized and accurate.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for test planning, test script design, defect tracking, test summary, and test metrics reporting within a software project team. Provide a range of software testing services, including test plan development, requirement analysis, test artifact review, test execution (functional, automation, accessibility, performance, exploratory, smoke and regression testing, Section 508 compliance, etc.). The expectation is that 70% of all smoke and regression tests will be automated.
  • QA testing for newly developed software as well as ongoing production defect fixes
  • Communicate the ongoing progress of the projects testing effort
  • Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance
  • Assist with complex problems regarding testing approaches, application knowledge, and technical knowledge
  • Plan, document, evaluate and track testing results to ensure system applications are free from defects
  • Develop and provide testing metrics and reports to effectively communicate quality measures and metrics to the project team and management
  • Estimate quality assurance efforts on approved projects with IT Manager
  • Manage toward results, by process, with facts and with continuous process improvement in mind
  • Thorough understanding of different types of testing, knowledge of the entire SDLC, testing methodologies and their direct implementation to projects.
