We’re looking for a project manager to join E Source Consulting. You’ll plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants. You’ll also define project objectives with identified stakeholders and oversee quality control throughout the project.

What you’ll do
- Manage the execution of the project’s activities and resources in partnership with the division’s technical leads and business partners.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including key tasks, milestones, and deliverables to drive execution and track delivery progress.
- Drive execution of planned tasks, milestones, and deliverables to make sure projects are delivered on time, within the prescribed scope, and within budget.
- Remove obstacles and impediments to allow the team to meet operational objectives.
- Provide regular communication to project owners, executives, and senior management regarding project status, budget, risks, decisions, delivery quality, and resource-related issues using appropriate monitoring tools and techniques.
- Use appropriate verification and documentation techniques and change-order processes to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Create, maintain, and deliver comprehensive project documentation.
- Oversee and approve all project deliverables.
- Identify, secure, and assign resources necessary to achieve planned project objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders.
- Communicate company goals, project objectives, and role expectations to team members.
- Enforce compliance with clients’ policies and procedures.
- Identify and help secure new service delivery opportunities.
- Manage against the approved budget and recommend course correction as necessary.
What will make you a good fit
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, business, computer engineering, software engineering, information science, or mathematics.
- At least five years of experience in the utility sector.
- Experience implementing full lifecycle utility business systems, preferably AMI (but other technologies such as CIS, ADMS, or GIS considered).
- At least five years of project management experience; PMP certification preferred.
- Proven experience with people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management in functional and technical areas of a utility business.
- Ability to identify client needs and flex to meet them.
- Ability to act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines.
- Expert knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to operate with limited information and ambiguity.
- Highly skilled at critical thinking, analysis, business planning, and communication.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.

The budgeted salary for this position is:
$145,000 to $185,000 USD + annual bonus up to 15%.
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
This role is remote when not traveling to client sites. Travel is completely dependent on project and client demands and can be as much as 100%. The bulk of expected travel for this role will be in the southeast area of the United States.
