PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Cumberland, RI | Telecommute Eligible
Reports to: Institute Chief Operating Officer (ICOO)
Status: Full-time, Exempt

The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas—a faith-driven organization committed to social justice, compassion, and service to those in need—seeks a dynamic Project Manager to support Institute operations across a multinational and multilingual network. This position reports directly to the ICOO and plays a pivotal role in advancing organizational effectiveness through the delivery of high-impact, cross-functional projects.

As a strategic and hands-on leader, the Project Manager will drive a portfolio of initiatives that align with the Institute’s operational priorities and values. You will partner closely with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure initiatives are executed on time, within scope and budget, while also stewarding process design, data integrity, and communications.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their project management expertise in a mission-based organization where compassion, professionalism, and collaboration are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide projects from concept to completion under the direction of the ICOO.

  • Coordinate across departments to align project outcomes with strategic objectives.

  • Analyze financial and operational data to inform planning and performance.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and reporting systems.

  • Facilitate change management, task force coordination, and executive communications.

  • Represent the ICOO in internal and external engagements with professionalism and clarity.

Why Join Us?

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a legacy of service and leadership. You will join a values-based team committed to professional excellence and the advancement of a transformative mission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) preferred.

  • Masters degree in health care, business, public health or related field.
  • Minimum six years’ experience leading administrative or operational projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Strong analytical, process improvement, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic communication, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Experience working in mission-driven or nonprofit environments is a plus.

  • Deep respect for the values and traditions of the Sisters of Mercy and the broader Catholic community.
