PROGRAM MANAGER, OPPORTUNITY HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM (FULL-TIME/GRANT FUNDED)

Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The Program Manager will oversee and coordinate services for the Texas Opportunity High School grant-funded initiative. This position is responsible for advising and supporting grant recipients enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs who have not yet obtained a high school diploma. The Program Manager will guide participants through the registration and enrollment processes for both CTE and high school diploma programs, while ensuring access to the necessary support resources that facilitate student achievement.

Key duties include the preparation and submission of all required reports to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), monitoring program budgets and expenditures, and performing additional grant-related responsibilities as needed

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- One (1) year relevant experience.

OR

- Associate degree.
- Three (3) years relevant experience.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to assess student needs and connect them with appropriate resources and support services.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with student populations.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting for continuous improvement and accountability.

Ability to work collaboratively with academic faculty/staff, workforce partners, and community organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- Two (2) years related experience in higher education.

Job Duties
- Provide academic coaching to students through scheduled appointments, walk-in sessions, email, and phone consultations. Offer course recommendations aligned with each student's career goals and educational pathway.
- Creates and executes marketing, promotional, and outreach strategies aimed at attracting new students and supporting retention efforts
- Support student academic success by identifying and addressing barriers to education, while connecting students with appropriate resources to aid them throughout their academic journey.
- Prepare grant reports and proposals including progress reports, annual reports, statistical summaries, and THECB deliverables as required.
- Analyze information about individuals through intensive case management, interviews, assessments, and records to appraise their interests, abilities, and potential barriers to academic and career success and program retention.
- Participate in the CE Curriculum Committee and other college committees, councils and activities.
- Assisting with additional assignments as needed.
