Job Description:
The Project Management Consultant/Project Manager will support the Energy Storage team by developing and maintaining process documentation, creating tools for insight and automation, and supporting internal efficiency initiatives. This role improves team performance by designing scalable tools, analyzing operational gaps, and creating training content. The successful candidate will need to operate independently, work cross-functionally, and solve problems with limited direction while collaborating across a variety of roles and personalities.
- Create and maintain process documentation, task guides, and SOPs across the project lifecycle.
- Identify and investigate workflow inefficiencies and performance gaps using structured problem-solving and process improvement methods such as root cause analysis and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Design and implement tools and automations using coding, AI, and business intelligence platforms to generate insights into past, current, and future team performance.
- Develop and maintain content, documentation, and resources that support the training and onboarding of team members.
- Lead problem-solving efforts that require input and cooperation from others across the team and organization. Success in this role depends on emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt communication and approach based on interpersonal dynamics, stress levels, and organizational priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering, construction, technical communication, computer science, business, or education.
- 3 years of professional experience in process development, technical writing, tool development, or applicable role(s).
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to self-direct in ambiguous problem spaces.
- Proficiency in developing tools using Python, VBA, Power BI, or similar platforms/languages.
- Experience with various project management methodologies and software tools including Agile/Scrum.
- Strong communication, task organization, and analytical skills.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to collaborate across departments without formal authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years in the renewable energy industry, with experience in battery energy storage considered a strong advantage.
- Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) certification.
- PMP certification or formal project management training.
- Advanced experience using AI and automation to support business process improvements.
