Our Power Development and Energy Transition Data Management team is made up of curious individuals eager to contribute to solving complex questions in the energy industry. Our business delivers essential, timely analysis to a diverse client base, including financial institutions, power developers, utilities, and other stakeholders through specialized products and customized analytics. This team innovates and analyzes market-critical aspects both now and in the future. Team members are encouraged to explore the energy industry from the unique perspective of advising influential market participants.

What You’ll Do:

An Energy Analyst at FactSet is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing power markets datasets that guide FactSet clients' decisions. This role includes understanding how energy transitions and political changes impact existing power plants and the development of new ones. The analyst will build and maintain databases of global wind, solar, and thermal plants, along with other essential energy datasets and analyses. The analyst will gain expertise in the regulatory and market environments in which these plants operate and how these factors influence their operations and profitability.

Our team's knowledge grows through collaboration and shared experience, making effective communication and proactive sharing of insights essential. You'll need to demonstrate your ability to work both independently and collaboratively, addressing tasks with rigorous, timely analysis. Our firm's success is intertwined with our clients' success, so understanding how our data and analysis are utilized by clients is vital.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Power Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Economics, or related field of study.
1-3 years of Power Market or Energy Industry experience.
Experience or knowledge of SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
Experience working with large datasets. Modeling experience is a plus.
Proficient writing skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

Critical Skills:

Attention to detail.
A focus on delivering value to clients.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, working both independently and collaboratively.
A collaborative and proactive approach with a commitment to learning and accountability.
Financial or economic knowledge/experience a plus.

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.

The budgeted amount range for this position in the State of Colorado is $65,000-$80,000.
