Full Job Description
Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER
Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: 8pm - 6 am

Summary:
Under the general supervision of the medical director or designee, provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. Performs the duties defined for a sleep technician and provides guidance to other sleep center staff. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds one of the following: • Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) credential. • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential. • Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential. Meets continuing education requirements as established by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 90 days of hire. Reliable transportation to travel to any assigned MetroHealth Sleep Center. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Word and Excel. Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
