Position Overview
The ITS Parking Team is seeking a mechanically inclined technician to join our team onsite . This hands-on role is essential to maintaining and repairing parking lot control systems and equipment across airport facilities. It is ideal for a well-rounded, "jack of all trades" individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on parking control systems, including gates, ticket dispensers, pay stations, and related hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving electrical components such as wiring, motors, relays, and power supplies using tools like volt meters and hand tools.
- Install and configure parking equipment components to ensure proper functionality and alignment.
- Conduct hands-on repairs for a variety of small mechanical and electronic devices used in parking access and control systems.
- Adapt to flexible work schedules, including after-hours, weekends, and on-call availability to support operational needs.
- Work closely with team members, vendors, and airport staff to coordinate repairs and minimize system downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with parking control systems or comparable mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Strong mechanical skills, including working knowledge of tools, equipment, and maintenance techniques.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with voltage, amperage, and current diagnostics.
- A problem-solver with a hands-on, practical approach-well-suited for candidates with a handyman or multi-skilled maintenance background.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
