Senior Art Director - Packaging
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Art Director, Packaging to join their team. In this role, you'll bring strategic thinking and creative excellence to packaging design and related communications. You'll concept, design, and execute high-quality work that aligns with brand goals and resonates with their audience. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our products.
This is a 40 hour/week, long-term freelance opportunity that will require you to be onsite 4 days/week at our client's office in St. Louis, MO. Initial duration will be 12 months. Start date will be 3-4 weeks from an offer, as soon as 6/23/2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute packaging and related traditional/digital communications.
- Maintain high standards of design quality and brand consistency.
- Work independently to manage projects from concept through execution.
- Present and advocate for your creative work with confidence and clarity
- Collaborate with account managers, strategists, creatives, clients, and vendors to deliver outstanding results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as an Art Director or similar role in an agency or in-house creative team.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of both traditional and digital design channels, including social media, e-commerce, digital display, and retailer advertising.
- Excellent typography and layout skills.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
