Full Job Description
Role Overview:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Jered Service technicians to ensure that all work is completed on schedule and within budget. Responsible for the supervision, development, and training of service technicians. Responsible for the technical aspects of service contracts and development of service scope of works. Supports the division in the development of new business opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage all Jered Service Technicians.
* Collaboratively with the contracts manager develop successful bids and proposals for new business.
* Collaboratively with the contracts manager develop detailed workload schedules and plans to ensure customer satisfaction, while supporting technician development.
* Ensure personnel are trained with in the requirements of OSHA rules, and ensure personnel are trained in accordance with the use of PPE to ensure all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
* Responsible for the CFR and EOD process and template.
* Responsible for the resolution of technical issues or concerns from the customer relating to service contracts.
* Ensure employees provide detailed time, trip, and expense reports to the contract manager.
* Collaborate with the Product support lead and the fleet service engineer to translate job found issues into part sales.
* Collaborate with other Jered functional groups to resolve warranty issues that require service technicians.
* Establish and maintain close working relationships with customers, maintenance centers, and port engineers to support effective work execution and business development.
* Play a significant role in the long-term planning and vision for Jered Service.
* Demonstrate leadership qualities, professionalism and create a work environment that fosters teamwork among employees.

* 10 years’ experience in working with the Navy or DOD contracts supporting Ship Repair and Maintenance.
* Experience in Strategic development of service business supporting the repair and continued support of DOD equipment.
* Strong leadership skills and personnel development abilities.
* Ability to present complex problems and recommended solutions to senior leadership
* Must be able to read, interpret, and mark up blueprints and other technical drawings and material.
* Must be proficient with computers and computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel)
* Must be able to obtain and maintain security access to military installations, ships, and commercial shipyards and waterfront controlled industrial areas.
* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
* U.S. travel will be required by automobile within the local area and by airplane to support other locations. Occasional international travel is possible to support global customers. .
* Valid Driver's License without restriction required.
