JOB DESCRIPTION: Supervising Prevention Consultant

Responsible for planning and implementing programs in schools and communities. Establish alliances with organizations which have similar or allied goals, such as, school board, local law enforcement, healthcare providers, community centers and service providers. Will serve as a customer service role model to ensure a positive relationship in interactions with all participants, applying schools and community. Provides supervision to a team of prevention specialists who will provide trainings and workshops to community and youth. Implements evidence-based prevention services and curricula with fidelity.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan the delivery of the overall programs and its activities in accordance with the mission and thegoals of the organization specific to New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services.
  • Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement Facilitate and/or manage small- and large-group community based meetings and trainings.
  • Provide training to staff and community-based organizations.
  • Track relevant activities in public health/youth mental health and related fields to inform Prevention Links, its programs its partners, and communities.
  • Upload Tier 1 Events and Flyers to Salesforce
  • Manage Tier 2 Offerings /Events
  • Ensure closing of service tickets within Sales force platform
  • Ensure the collection and easy access of programmatic information such as but not limited to program outcomes, number of people served, etc.

Staffing Responsibilities:

  • IncollaborationwiththeAssistant Director of NJ4S,recruit,interviewandselectwell- qualified program staff
  • EnsurecomplianceandmodelbyexamplePreventionLinkshumanresourcespolicies, procedures and practices
  • Completeregularperformanceevaluations
  • Meet with staff (one on ones, team meetings, etc.) to understand and troubleshoot challenges they are facing.

PROGRAM LEADERSHIP

  • Ensureallteammembersreceiveproperonboardingandappropriatetraining
  • Superviseteambyprovidingdirection,inputandperformancefeedbackinrealtime.
  • Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency

  • Plan:IncollaborationwiththeDivisionDirectordevelop strategiestomovethe agencyforward set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results.
  • Solve Problems:Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.

REQUIRED DUTIES:

  • Must be able to perform work responsibilities in various locations.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be sensitive, flexible and responsive to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, age, sexual orientation or any other special needs as reflected in the ability to communicate with staff and/or clients.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and possess basic computer skills.
  • Must be available to attend weekend and evening meetings and events as required.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must possess the time management skills necessary to organize and manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S and New Jersey.
  • Must possess the ability to serve asa representative of Prevention Links, upholding agency's expectation of excellence and collaboration.
  • Must maintain an understanding of all programs, grants, and projects offered by Prevention Links.
  • Must adhere to Prevention Links administrative, reporting and recordkeeping guidelines to support accurate documentation of activities.
  • Must participate in all agency required training.
  • Must be able to speak and write English.
  • Must be able to walk, stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License and an independent mode of transportation.
  • Must complete all other duties and tasks as requested by the Division Director.

NOTE:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Job descriptions can be revised and updated periodically to meet the needs of the organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Preferred candidates will have experience working with and empowering at-risk youth and marginalized communities by conducting prevention education (e.g., substance abuse, pregnancy prevention, mental health, and well-being session, etc.) activities. Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, public administration, social work, etc.) required. Experience in community organizing, developing community partnerships, implementing evidence-based programs and project management. At least five (5) years' experience working in social service environment implementing evidenced based practice models; three (3) years of which shall be in a supervisory capacity.

TRAVEL: Domestic travel may be required for this full-time position. Local, independent travel is required.

EVENING AND WEEKEND AVAILABILITY: Must be available evenings and weekends



Compensation details: 60000-65000 Yearly Salary
