Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, No Call Requirement

Summary:
Provides neurophysiologic monitoring that helps in the assessment of the functional integrity of the peripheral and/or central nervous system. Monitors data output and maintains appropriate documentation. Conducts clinical Electroencephalogram (EEG), Evoked Potential (EP) and/or Nerve Conduction/Electromyogram (NCV/EMG) testing to collect information pertinent to the interpretation of the test of neonatal through adult patients in both the inpatient and outpatient arena. Intraoperative procedures include, but are not limited to, electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potentials (SSEP/MEP), electromyography (EMG), electrocorticography (ECOG) during vascular, orthopedic, urologic, or neurosurgical operative procedures. Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Electro neurodiagnostic (END) training program or 5 years of recent experience in Neurophysiologic Monitoring or Intraoperative Monitoring.
- Students may be considered if actively enrolled in an accredited END training program, are in good academic standing, have completed 2 clinical rotations, and successfully complete the program within 12 months of hire.
- Certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist (ABRET) in EEG or obtains within two years of hire/job date.
Possesses one or more of the following or obtains within three years of the hire/job date:
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) by ABRET, or
- Certification with nerve conduction velocity (NCV) by ABRET and/or American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM)
- Certification in Long Term EEG Monitoring (CLTM) by ABRET Possesses current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtains within 90 days of hire.
- Maintains ongoing continuing education as required to maintain registries.
- Participates in departmental in-service educational opportunities.
