Title: Network Engineer
Location: (Seattle, WA / Arlington, VA US)
Duration: 12 months potential for extension/conversion to FTE
Pay Rate: $60 - $ 65/hr

Must Have:

• Technical Expertise
• DWDM Optical Networks
• In-depth understanding of DWDM transport networks, including design, planning, and implementation.
• Knowledge of how DWDM networks are built, connected, and integrated with IP router layers.

IP Networking:

• Strong understanding of router and switch connectivity within large-scale networks.
• Ability to assess the implications of changes on both DWDM and IP layers.
• Hands-On Experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience in designing, planning, and implementing DWDM optical networks.
• Proven experience in large-scale production networking environments.
• Hands-on experience with site outages, validations, and installations.

Automation Skills

• Basic Python scripting skills
• Ability to read and understand existing code.
• Make small adjustments to scripts as needed.
• Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks used in network operations.
