Marketing Data Analyst

This role will be fully remote, but candidates MUST be in the Austin, Culver City, or Santa Clara Valley area! (No exceptions) 

1 year contract- M-F 40 hours per week! 

Position Overview
The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing marketing data to drive business decisions and improve marketing strategies. This role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing data to extract insights that inform marketing initiatives and optimize campaigns.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and optimize SQL queries for audience segmentation.
• Create and maintain server-side Tableau dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand campaign goals.
• Implement automation procedures for data processes. 
• Ability to convert queries in automated scripts using SQL
• Ability to write queries off of business requirements (example query concepts: want to look at the most popular artist per user.

Top Skills:

• 5-7 years in a marketing data analyst role.
• Proficiency with large data sets and ANSI SQL (Trino or snowflake).
• Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and automation.
• Experience with statistical models and principles.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages
• Experience working with/creating/updating procedures for use in automation  
• Creation of server-side Tableau dashboards and setting up requisite data sources
• Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following statistical models/techniques: recommendation systems, neural networks, deep learning, optimization and simulation, churn models, logistic regression, linear regression, forecasting, A/B testing, clustering and segmentation, or others

PLUS SKILLS: 

-UNIX Shell Scripting 

-Experience with Python, R, SAS, or other statistical programming languages 

-Experience with Trino/Snowflake

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
