Full Job Description
Job Description: Department: Analytics
Location: Irvine, CA or Remote
At Blizzard Entertainment, we don't just publish games; we help them thrive. Our games are at the heart of our players' lives, and our mission is to ensure they are engaging, rewarding, and always improving. The Marketing Analytics team plays a vital role in achieving this by combining technical expertise with business insights to optimize marketing strategies and ensure data-driven decision-making.
We are seeking a Marketing Data Analyst (contract) to support content performance tracking, reporting, and insights development for multiple franchise social media channels and content optimization initiatives. This role will report directly to the Senior Audience Development Manager and support the development of franchise KPIs, shaping channel strategy insights, articulating platform best practices and driving regular reporting to key stakeholders. In this role you will contribute directly to elevating our social content insights practice and support initiatives to evaluate the overall health of social media and video platforms for large game franchises. If you have a passion for turning data into actionable strategies and enjoy collaborating across disciplines, we'd love to hear from you.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA. However, we understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements.
Responsibilities:
Own focused reporting across major publishing and game release beats
Standardize data formats, tagging, and frameworks across teams and systems.
Aid in the creation and execution of regularly scheduled deliverables
Ensure program KPIs are integrated in reporting outputs and performance goals are socialized across franchise groups
Partner with analyst team to ensure overall deliverable quality and reporting is rooted in tangible, quantitative insights
Establish and maintain knowledge of current franchise communities
Establish and maintain knowledge of content cycles (patches, expansions, major beats)
What you bring to the table:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years' data analysis experience in media planning, social media management and/or digital marketing research
Demonstrated experience in Project Management

Experience driving social listening programs, developing involved topic queries and comprehensive analysis (Ex. landscape, competitor, campaign)
Strong analytical, written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and craft informed recommendations
Proficient in Microsoft/Google productivity suites (Ex. Excel/Sheets, Powerpoint/Slides)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the gaming industry or working with marketing teams in a digital-first environment
Education / background in marketing, data analytics or paid media
Data-science / statistics experience
Working knowledge of SQL (BigQuery a plus); experience with at least one visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
