Our global pharma client is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to join their team for the next 12 months, 40 hours/week.
This role is onsite 4 days/week in Lake Forest, IL or Downtown Chicago. 1 day is work from home.
This is a hands-on keys role where you will be executing campaigns for various email, landing page, banner ads, Facebook or Google Ads, trade show event materials, and print campaigns.
Role Summary
The Marketing Automation Specialist manages the team's marketing automation platform, advocating its use across the enterprise to support growth. This role involves support, training, implementation, and consultation to maximize the platform's value, establishing processes and data structures, developing lead-scoring processes, and creating marketing automation programs.
Top Must-Have Skills
Hands on experience executing campaigns within a marketing automation platform such as SFMC or Marketo. This team uses ActOn as their MA system
Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, digital marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in B2B or B2C campaign execution and demand generation.
Direct experience with marketing automation or email marketing platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite on a PC.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Capacity to work with a global organization across various time zones.
Additional Qualifications
Experience in email campaign execution and basic HTML coding knowledge.
Exposure to optimization processes and A/B or multivariate testing.
Responsibilities
Translate marketing requirements into functional campaigns.
Build, test, and deploy email marketing programs.
Manage email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management, re-engagement, and compliance with global opt-in laws.
Ensure compliance with ad promo policies and global regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
Plan and perform A/B tests to improve productivity, conversion rates, and ROI.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers.
Support campaign management, including lead scoring and nurturing programs.
Maintain CRM and other platform integrations for effective contact and lead management.
Monitor and analyze email performance metrics.
Create and maintain email and landing page templates.
Implement best practices for emails, landing pages, and forms.
Provide timely and pertinent information through system reporting.
Adhere to Abbott guidelines for customer communication.
Work with internal and external teams to maintain brand integrity.
Stay updated with trends in email marketing and automation.
Train and support users within the Marketing Automation platform.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
