Embark on a transformative journey as a Senior Connectivity Engineer at Barclays. You will be a member of the across asset team to develop Exchange Connectivity applications for multiple business areas. The connectivity applications are built on a distributed Java platform designed and developed to provide low-latency, high through put processing of messages. You will be part of a regionally distributed development team providing technical and business focused solutions. You will liaise with the Connectivity team heads and colleagues in other locations (London, Prague). You will also be involved in developing and writing code, participating in design discussions, and providing production support.

To be successful as a Market Connectivity Senior Developer, you should have experience with:

Core Java and/or C++, and developing/running Java applications under Linux
Multi-threading, memory allocation, caching, networking, distributed systems, algorithms and/or operating systems
Finance domain knowledge - systems providing trading, risk, middle office, or other finance services

Some other highly valued skills may include:

Knowledge of FIX, OUCH, Millennium or other financial protocols
Experience with network or platform engineering
Experience with scripting in Bash, Perl, Python

Minimum Salary $170,000

Maximum Salary $230,000
