We are looking for a machinist to join our team at AMETEK Process & Analytical Instruments.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Enrolled or completed machinist apprenticeship program or 2 years of work experience.
• Good working knowledge of common machining practices is required to insure safe and efficient machine operation.
• Ability to read formal and informal drawings and to manufacture all parts to the tolerances specified.
• Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Description:

• Program, set-up, and operation of all machines including, but not limited to: CNC machining centers, CNC turning centers, engine lathes, turret lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and saws.
• All routine maintenance is to be performed by the machinist to insure safe and proper operation of the equipment.
• Occasionally duties may vary from the above as deemed necessary by business conditions
• Operate CNC mills, lathes, and saws efficiently and safely
• Operate manual milling machines, lathes, drill presses, saws, and general machine shop equipment efficiently and safely
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and comprehend work orders
• Clean modern shop
• Daylight postilion
