Job Description:
Linux/Windows Server Admin RDT&E
San Diego, CA
Our client is looking for a candidate to provide Linux and Windows Server System Administration on the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network supporting a US Government Customer. The selected candidate will work as a System Administrator for a customer managing physical and virtual Linux (a mixture of Red Hat and other open source Linux) servers and Windows servers that support the Science and Technology Branch of the Naval Information Warfare Center. This project is an experimental effort working in a unclassified network environment providing experimentation and demonstration of future command and control technologies. This work is 100 percent on site and the selected individual will work with a team of 4 to 5 individuals in this effort.
Specific job duties include:
· Linux system administration (RedHat, CENTOS, Ubuntu, or others)
· Windows server system administration (2019 or later)
· Experience with containerization (Docker and Kubernetes)
· Experience managing Active Directory
· Experience hardening servers to DISA standards, application of STIGs
· Performing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
· Experience supporting RMF
· Experience with using an existing un-configured share on NAS
· Basic networking knowledge
· Perform and document all applicable STIGs
Certifications (IAT Level II)
One of the following:
· Security+ CE
· GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
· Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
· System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
and one of the following:
· Linux +
· LPIC-2 Advanced Level Linux Professional
· LPIC-3 Senior Level Linux Professional
· RHCE Red Hat Certified Engineer
· RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
· RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist
Required Skills
· 2-3 Years of experience with Linux systems
· 2-3 years’ experience with Windows server systems
· Experience with VM environment
Desired Skills
· Knowledge and experience with CANES a plus
· Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
· Experience with the IAVM process
Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition of employment
