Primary Responsibilities:
1. Conduct shifts start up meetings, ensure all associates are assigned tasks, reassign associates between tasks/departments to meet workload requirements/operational priorities. Monitor output throughout the shift and adjust associate assignments to meet processing deadlines. Ensure task assignment rotation is followed and that all associates receive required cross training.
2. Monitor associate performance to ensure standards for productivity, safety, customer service, and teamwork are met. Provide direct performance feedback to associates on regular basis. Provide corrective coaching/retraining and escalate issues to the Team Manager as appropriate. Monitor and report associate time management performance.
3. Ensure associates exercise proper use and care of facility equipment, material handling systems, and information technology. Ensure associates report any incidents, near misses, accidents, or injuries in accordance with Acushnet safety policy.
4. Assist department management with accomplishing the weekly distribution goal. Ensure management directives are carried out and exceptions are reported back to the management team. Fill in for other department Leads in their absence.
Additional Responsibilities: Assist with testing new system settings/configurations, providing detailed feedback on operational impacts of new configuration. Perform other tasks as assigned by DC management.
Experience: 2-3 Years in a warehouse production role with daily utilization of Warehouse Management System software tools. Familiarity with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management for Open Systems preferred. Previous Warehouse Management system super user experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task to meet daily deadlines. Able to adapt to changing requirements while under deadline pressure. Very good written and oral communication skills necessary to interact with internal contacts.
Requirements: Must have a demonstrated ability to lead teams and/or groups of individuals and work effectively with others. Must have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable with using computers in completing production tasks and investigating and resolving exceptions. Physical tasks will require walking, climbing steps/ladders, working at height, and lifting cartons up to 40 lbs.
Special Credentials/Skills: Warehouse environment with continuous PC and RF device usage. Must be able to multitask and problem solve. Must be able to communicate effectively using radio and email. Must be able to lift and bend as required for warehouse tasks. Early/late shift hours flexibility.
