Land Training & Quality Coordinator

Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Training and Quality Coordinator are (i) to train land acquisition personnel in LIMS and PowerBi, (ii) to review communication notes to ensure quality and consistency, (iii) to identify agent performance improvement opportunities and report findings to management, (iv) assist location committee when needed on meeting notes.
The position is located at Georgia Power Company’s corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia or at a local Georgia Power Operating Headquarters (specific location TBD by hiring manager) and is subject to the company’s hybrid work policy.
** Some overnight travel (up to 50%) is required with this position to travel with agents to assist with negotiations, review agents’ negotiation skills, and attend Public Information Meetings for various projects across the State of Georgia.
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma is required. A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree is highly preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid Georgia’s driver’s license
Experience Requirements:
3-5 years of Land Acquisition, Distribution, Transmission, DOT Relocation, Fiber and/or Vegetation Management experience is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of LIMS 2.0 and PowerBi
- Comprehensive knowledge of laws pertaining to land and the acquisition of land rights
- In-depth knowledge of title reports, property ownership records and research, appraisal reports, surveys, parcel maps, and legal documents relating to real estate
- Interpersonal skills to effectively establish and maintain customer relationships with a broad spectrum of internal and external customers
- Ability to effectively communicate with the public and internal leadership
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Train all acquisition personnel in LIMS and PowerBi
- Review agent communication notes to ensure quality and consistency
- Identify agent performance improvements
- Collaborate with Land Acquisition Coordinators on agent performance covering the acquisition of land rights for the business partners supported: General Counsel, Power Delivery, Telecommunications, Fiber, Renewables, and various other business units to ensure agent performance promotes timely completion of acquisition to meet project deadlines
- Develop and present metrics / status of projects to leadership
- Communicate agent performance opportunities to management
- Assist Location Coordinators with meeting notes and business records

This position has been identified as a role that will require the use of a Georgia Power fleet vehicle. The following will be required if you are selected for this position:
- Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience (Must hold a valid driver’s license for the class vehicle to be operated. Driving permits are not typically considered a valid driver’s license).
- Must have no revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application, no convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application, or any pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application.
