Volt is immediately hiring Lab Tech 1 in Cordova, Illinois with a well-known industry leader.

This is a rotating shift position alternating between day and night shifts (6AM-6PM, 12 hours).
The rotation pattern is: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (repeating),

As a Lab Tech 1 you will:

Prepare and analyze samples using standard analytical test methods
Perform mathematical calculations of test data to compare results to standards and identify variances
Prepare, operate, and maintain test equipment through calibration and standardization procedures
Document and interpret test results, maintain records, and communicate test results to appropriate staff and operations

Estimated Duration 24+ months

The ideal candidate will have:

BS Degree (preferred) or AA with 1+ year of experience working in a lab environmen
Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected
Understanding of basic concepts of measurement systems, testing, and calibration
Knowledgeable in routine test procedures, problem solving, products, and equipment.
Detail oriented with strong oral and written communication skills

Pay Rate: $25.03 per hour
