Full Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring Lab Tech 1 in Cordova, Illinois with a well-known industry leader.
This is a rotating shift position alternating between day and night shifts (6AM-6PM, 12 hours).
The rotation pattern is: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (repeating),
As a Lab Tech 1 you will:
- Prepare and analyze samples using standard analytical test methods
- Perform mathematical calculations of test data to compare results to standards and identify variances
- Prepare, operate, and maintain test equipment through calibration and standardization procedures
- Document and interpret test results, maintain records, and communicate test results to appropriate staff and operations
The ideal candidate will have:
- BS Degree (preferred) or AA with 1+ year of experience working in a lab environmen
- Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected
- Understanding of basic concepts of measurement systems, testing, and calibration
- Knowledgeable in routine test procedures, problem solving, products, and equipment.
- Detail oriented with strong oral and written communication skills
