About the Role:

A Hydraulic Systems Engineer, develops and oversees all aspects of hydraulic systems, equipment, and machinery. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Fluid Power field is required. Occasional onsite commissioning and customer presentations is required.

Duties and Responsibilites

Mechanical/Fluid Power Duties/Responsibilities:

* Develop hydraulic schematics in AutoCAD

* Proficient in interpreting all aspects of mechanical and hydraulic design drawings and specifications.

* Develop 3D equipment layout drawings in Autodesk Inventor.

* Ability to delegate design tasks to fellow teammates (i.e. designers, junior engineers).

* Ability to mentor fellow teammates and shop technicians.

* Interpret mechanical & hydraulic design drawings for electrical requirements.

* Ability to work with Electrical Engineering Team to finalize control requirements.

Additional Duties/Responsibilities:

* Work with outside sales team and/or customers to develop detailed quotes and proposals on new opportunities.

* Research supplier products for assembly components and manage relationships with vendors.

* Develop bills of materials.

* Troubleshooting, field testing, and installation

* Creation of submittals, training instructions, and O&M Manuals

* Review of project specifications to assure compliance with customer requirements.

* Ability to communicate with the production team clearly and efficiently to ensure project success.

* Ability to communicate and work directly and effectively with customers and suppliers.

* Provide direction and/or resolution to customer issues and concerns.

* Develop and support new opportunities either with outside sales and/or with customers directly.

* Excels at attention to detail, multi-tasking, and working under pressure.

* Constantly be aware and diligently work towards achieving departmental/branch goals and metrics.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • * 5+ years of Industrial Hydraulic design.

    * Extensive knowledge of Fluid Power & Industrial Controls

    * Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.

    * Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

    * Excellent documentation, written and oral communication skills.

    * Able to work independently or in a team environment with little to no supervision.

    * Problem Solving skills required.

    * Ability to interface with shop technicians and provide shop support as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop hydraulic systems and components based on project requirements.
  • Conduct simulations and tests to evaluate the performance of hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hydraulic equipment.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and reports on hydraulic system designs and performance evaluations.


Compensation details: 85000-110000 Yearly Salary
