Position Summary
As a Graphics Designer for Visual Merchandising (VM), you will be responsible for the design, and execution of retail materials for, but not limited to, the e.l.f. Cosmetics' brand. You will handle multiple projects and deliverables, translating project briefs into consistent brand visuals based on marketing and business objectives. In this role you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of the following:*Experience designing, adapting and/or utilizing templates for visual merchandising, retail design, or POP display teams with follow-through of applying those designs into print production.*Concepting and designing for a consumer-centric retail mindset.*Being organized, and able to follow directions or processes that are established.*Presenting design ideas/options cross functionally and to various levels of management

Position Summary

Responsibilities:
- Read and understand planograms, dielines and fixture parts.
- Must be able to follow and design within the brand and retailer style guides, including but not limited to Boots, SuperDrug, Rossmann & Kruidvat.
- Translate and apply the approved creative compositions and layouts into the various sizes and formats needed for promotional displays (POP), signage, and in-store environments.
- Execute, build and package print-ready for retail signage.
- Prepare, package, and spec files for print projects with correct dimensions, die-lines, and resolution.
- Responsible for proper setup, execution, and final release or design files, with detailed dimensions, checking dielines, exporting, saving, and packaging files for print-production.
- Provide timely feedback on print-ready files and proofs for your accounts.
- Collaborating with Design, Copy, and Project Management to ensure the success of a project from start to finish while meeting production deadlines.
- Design and execute as-needed deliverables and presentations for retailers' meetings.
- Create presentations and/or mockups for internal reviews, commenting, briefing, or image retouching.
- Catalog and organize artwork files (working and final) on the server for future reference and collect organized files for creative operations and vendors.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered within the deadline.
Requirements:
- An exceptional portfolio of work ideally with instore, retail, or environment examples
- 5 years of design experience in a fast-paced environment (in-house or agency)
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in industrial design, package design, graphics design, or related field
- Prior experience reviewing retail planograms is a plus.
- Sketchup or 3D experience is a plus. (Or a willingness to learn SketchUp)
- Basic trimming, cutting, and comping skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to learn new workplace applications
- Highly organized, timely ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in artwork and production files.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and design shifts.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills for deadline-driven projects.
- A passion for beauty and experience working on other beauty brands in retail is a bonus.
What does it take to be successful in this role:
- Understand systems (fixtures) and corresponding graphic application.
- Experience with reading and understating planograms, line listings, and code numbers.
- An investigative style that is resourceful and proactive for finding context, files, and information needed to present your design solutions.
- Organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and a high degree of collaboration with cross-function partners and vendors
- Ability to take direction from Art Directors, Creative, and Sales Teams and provide multiple solutions.
- Ability to be a positive team player and also comfortable to work independently as a self-starter.
- Ability to prioritize with tight deadlines and follow through.
- Must have a strong portfolio that exemplifies a broad range of design layout and typography skills & execution for print.
- Being a designer that can keep big picture understanding and detail-oriented attention to detail, with the adaptability to know when to switch perspectives with the focus on executing.
