Description Join a well-established and progressive engineering consulting firm as a Geotechnical Engineer in Poca, West Virginia, where you will play a key role in supporting a growing backlog of specialized projects across bridge work, land development sites, subsurface investigations, repair design, and geotechnical analysis. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Geotechnical Engineer position include: Bachelor of Science in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering; MS preferred WV Professional Engineering License preferred; candidates close to licensure will be considered 5 to 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering Execute geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish, primarily focused on design with some project management responsibilities Develop field exploration and laboratory testing plans and coordinate/manage field investigations Sample and log soils and rock, perform engineering analysis, and prepare geotechnical engineering reports Review foundation and grading plans for conformance with geotechnical reports while tracking budgets and schedules Utilize CADD, Microsoft Office, and handheld GPS units while collaborating with civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, and construction managers Salary: $60,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
