Full Job Description
Title: Color Artist
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: ASAP - Ongoing freelance
Hours: 40 hours/week - must be available for either the day shift (8:00am - 5:00pm) or second shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
Rate: $35/hour - $40/hourOur entertainment agency client is seeking a Color Artist! This role is fully remote, 40 hours/week, ongoing.You will be responsible for evaluating and performing precise color correction, color management, and file preparation to meet client specifications and ensure visual consistency across media. WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Evaluate and perform color correction in CMYK and RGB, matching color to designated files/visuals- Prepare, optimize, and convert files from RGB to CMYK, following client-specific workflows- Create CMYK separations, PMS plates, white ink plates, and regulate GCR and total ink density- Perform Grand Format device proof color compensations and press compensations- Assist Prepress/Premedia departments with file updates, Illustrator callouts, and Epson outputs- Maintain knowledge of color theory, color management, and evolving Photoshop features- Follow company and client security and asset management protocols WHAT YOU'LL NEED:- 5+ years' professional experience in color correction and color management- Strong understanding of RGB to CMYK conversion and color theory- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign- Experience in the graphic arts industry, especially in digital, prepress, and printing If you think you're a good fit for this role, send us your portfolio / resume!
