Responsible for the financial analysis, reporting, and review of company and divisional operations.

Primary Duties
- Review and understand financial statements and underlying operational activities of each of the operating companies; provide a reasonable level of assurance of the accuracy of the provided information and be responsive to queries from Executive Management.
- Assist management in their analysis and understanding of their reported information and its operational impact.
- Assist Senior Financial Analyst to coordinate/ oversee the accounting and financial reporting of the business unit.
- Assist in preparation of Annual Profit Plan including P&L operating budgets, cash plan, capital budget balance sheet plan, ratio analysis and presentation.
- Identify opportunities for financial/ operational improvements by and among the companies.
- Assist Senior Financial Analysts in the development of written policies and procedures for operating units.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelors' degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- 2-5 years in a Financial Analysis environment, preferably with a multi location retail operation.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office and G/L software, with the ability to build complex working models.
- Preparatory experience ordinarily gained in over 5 years of work external to SBC preferred.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
