Description:

Join Our Dynamic Team: Fee-for-Service Outpatient Clinician (Substance Use Program)

Are you considering private practice but not quite sure it's the right route? Are you looking to supplement your income while making a profound impact? Alternative Wellness Services is seeking a collaborative clinician passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals on their recovery journey, with a commitment to working at least 6 hours a week. We are seeking a compassionate professional to provide vital individual therapy, comprehensive assessments, and DEEP services within our growing substance use program.
At Alternative Wellness Services, we are deeply committed to meeting clients where they are, empowering them through strengths-based, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed care. This role is central to that mission, offering direct therapeutic support and guiding clients through crucial stages of change. You'll be instrumental in comprehensive screening, assessment, treatment planning, and meticulous documentation that upholds our commitment to quality and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver impactful individual therapy and counseling sessions, utilizing recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches.
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments guiding clients through critical stages of their recovery journey.
  • Develop and revise individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and interventions, focusing on harm reduction and empowering client decision-making.
  • Complete DEEP evaluations or individual treatment sessions for individuals required to complete this process due to a conviction of driving under the influence.
  • Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation and compliance with all program and insurance authorization guidelines.
  • Actively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and medical/psychiatric care providers to ensure seamless, coordinated client care.
  • Contribute to our program's continuous improvement by participating in quality initiatives and leveraging data to enhance client satisfaction and outcomes.

Who We're Looking For:

  • We will accept a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with experience and a commitment to engaging in ongoing supervision with our team.
  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.
  • Current Clinical Conditional licensure (LMSW-CC or LCPC-C) in Maine required; full licensure (LCSW or LCPC) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in recovery-oriented services, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and co-occurring disorders.
  • A collaborative spirit with a proven ability to build strong, positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, EHR software, and other agency-utilized computer programs.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule in accordance with client and programmatic needs.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Why Join Alternative Wellness Services?

This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to be a champion of healing and a catalyst for positive change. At Alternative Wellness Services, you'll join a team deeply committed to recovery, safety, and community betterment. We foster a collaborative, solution-focused environment where your dedication to quality care and your passion for empowering individuals will truly make a meaningful difference.
