Full Job Description
The City of Chesapeake is accepting applications for a Fall 2025 Internship in Information Technology (IT) providing IT customer service as an intern on our Desktop Support (CT) Team. The internship will provide valuable experience in the following areas:
- Provide In-Person and remote technical assistance to end users.
- Use the ITSM tool ServiceNow to document and track IT tickets.
- Set up new and existing hardware to include PXE imaging devices and installing software.
- Develop skills such as excellent IT customer service, attention to detail, affective communication, and local City Government organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Providing their own transportation to and from work,
- Arriving at the work site at the time designated by the worksite supervisor.
- Performing the tasks assigned by the vocational instructor/coordinator and the worksite supervisor in an efficient manner.
- Demonstrating honesty, punctuality, courtesy, a cooperative attitude, appropriate dress, and a willingness to learn.
- Conforming to the guidelines of the internship worksite.
