Job Overview

The Equipment Reutilization Solutions “ERS”, Business Development Manager, is responsible for but not limited to the solicitation of new and expanded business to build out the client base for potential 3rd party local customers who own their own equipment for reactive service, preventative maintenance, installation, training, and shared services. The ERS Business Development Manager develops sales leads into one-time, repeat, or contracted service accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute the business plan for sales development and growth. Provide feedback to Sr. Director of Equipment Reutilization Solutions for plan adjustments and future opportunities.
  • Assists with the building of project plans for large executions and or projects that may be sold in.
  • Maintains responsibility for overall development of sales and closure of new business from prospects, including achievement of assigned region monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with Coke Consolidated sales team and Equipment Services leadership in the field to seek mutual growth opportunities.
  • Use Customer Relationship Database and other Technology to develop and track leads, complete sales and inspire future opportunities to re-prospect our service proposition with prospective customers.
  • Researches and makes recommendations for potential competitive alliances to strengthen our position in the market.
  • Attend various trade shows to help sell our business to new customers.
  • Build relationships with new and existing equipment manufacturers to grow our warranty repair and service network.
  • Complete red surveys, to help drive and train our local teammates to understand better sales opportunities as they are in the market.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Possess at least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in sales, customer development and growth.
  • Ability to build out comprehensive presentations in PowerPoint and be able to comfortably present in front of customers and leadership.
  • Ability to pull data out of SAP/Salesforce for reporting on local activities for upcoming market visits.
  • Current knowledge (preferred) or ability and willingness to gain knowledge about the functional operations of the following equipment: vending, coolers, fountain dispensers, ice machines, tea-coffee-juice-frozen beverage dispensers, and refrigeration; electrical and water filtration systems very helpful. (As new systems enter the product service mix, additional training will be required.)
  • Ability to effectively balance office work and customer-facing workload.
  • Ability to develop a thorough understanding of our business and customer operational strategy and execution.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Sales and customer development knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Anticipate or could be up to 50% overnight travel which may include flying.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or Communications

Work Environment

Work environment will vary, including but not limited to exposure to weather conditions, noisy warehouse, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled.
