ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST - Spacecraft Electrical Integration and Test

Who We Are:
The Spacecraft Development Department is a multidisciplinary team of engineers, program managers, technologists and technicians to develop spaceflight missions, spacecraft, spacecraft avionics systems, spacecraft payloads, and lighter than air systems.
Objectives of this Role:
- As a Spacecraft/Space Hardware Electrical Test Technologist, you will own the verification of critical electrical systems for NASA and DOD space missions.
- Reporting to the Electrical AIT Manager, you will develop and execute integration and test procedures, ensuring complex hardware and software meet mission requirements from the component level through pre-launch.
- You will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues, collaborating with engineering and project teams to deliver mission-ready spacecraft.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with System Engineers to develop test procedures, workflows, and work instructions.
- Generate test scripts to automate complex test scenarios based on mission requirements.
- Develop troubleshooting procedures for anomaly resolution.
- Work in a lab/cleanroom environment with hardware, ground support equipment, and test equipment.
- Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies, up to full spacecraft systems and software, according to written test plans and procedures.
- Generate accurate, high-quality test reports.
- Meet regularly with project management and subsystem leads to provide test status updates and aid in planning as needed.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology or related technology degree. 25 years of directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Shift work required.
- 0-6 years years: Directly related experience in electrical assembly test and validation, preferably with Space hardware and exposure to telemetry processing software such as STOL scripting language.
- 0-6 years years: Experience using standard electrical test equipment, including but not limited to digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power meter. A plus would be experience with RF testing.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics to support troubleshooting of spaceflight hardware
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Matlab, and higher level programming languages such as C
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
