Volt is immediately hiring for an Engineering Manager located in Attleboro, Massachusetts. This facility specializes in unique manufacturing process for metal etching and metal stamping used in various industries including medical device and automotive. If you are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager role working to provide day-to-day management of simultaneous projects and mentoring other engineers, then this position is for you. This role requires a metal stamping background/knowledge.

  • Salary: $115-130K/year*



As the Engineering Manager you will:

  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team that sets the business's strategic direction.
  • Serve as primary expert for all stamping and tooling activities.
  • Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for any department involved in stamping, secondary and automation activities.
  • Provide training, planning, & mentoring for all direct reports (team size will be 3-4 engineers, toolmaker, and automation tech).
  • Participate in APQP, NPI, FMEA processes.
  • Engage your team and provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management for the metal stamping process.
  • Develop, test, modify, implement, and validate solutions to technical problems and optimize existing programs including design of equipment, machinery, and processes.
  • Assure that department achieves objectives and project completion within budget and time frame.
  • Ensure implementation and refinement as required of formal process to support the engineering development process.
  • Participate in customer early involvement as needed, including estimating and project management.




This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.





The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
  • 7-10 years of heavy manufacturing experience. Preferred metal stamping engineering experience.
  • Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes.
  • Self-starter with passion and driven for continuous improvement.
  • Capable of conducting DOE's.
  • Team management experience - this team will be 3-4 engineers, toolmaker, and automation tech.
  • Ability to interface with customers, deal with difficult issues tactfully and professionally and build strong working relationships.




Salary: $115,000 - 130,000 /year

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
