We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our Design Engineering group—a high-impact role focused on technical leadership, team development, and delivering mission-critical systems with precision and reliability.
Success Criteria:
As an Engineering Manager, you will be directly responsible for the oversight and success of project engineering activities at Jered. Your leadership will shape the engineering team’s ability to deliver innovative, high-quality products that meet performance, budgetary, and schedule objectives. Success in this role requires effective supervision of the engineering team, active collaboration with cross-functional departments (especially Program Management), and strategic delegation of assignments to maximize utilization and support active projects. Your ability to drive process improvements, lead team and individual development, and serve as a key technical liaison for customers and subcontractors will be essential in this role. Your impact will be seen in enhanced team performance, improved product quality, and strong technical execution across programs.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; PE license is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering leadership experience related to electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment design.
- Proven experience leading project-based engineering organizations with strong system engineering understanding; knowledge of controls and software engineering is a major plus.
- Strong mechanical design background and demonstrated success in project or program management.
- Skilled in external communications, including building customer relationships and negotiating technical terms such as intellectual property.
- Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with managing subcontract engineering resources and departmental budgets.
- Experience supporting quality and process improvement initiatives and driving new product development.
