Job Title: Email Marketing Operations Specialist
Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite - Mon & Wed required, 1 flex day)
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Hours: 30-40 hours/week, depending on experience
Overview:
We're looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Email Marketing Operations Specialist to join our dynamic email team. You'll be the go-to expert in Iterable, supporting the execution, QA, and optimization of email and mobile communications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems creatively, and takes ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy segmented email campaigns using Iterable and Handlebars
- Troubleshoot issues with email delivery and campaign logic
- Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
- Intake and manage new email requests, ensuring timely execution
- Perform QA/QC on all outgoing communications
- Support mobile messaging as needed
- Assist with data segmentation and light HTML/CSS coding
Qualifications:
- Experience with Iterable or similar ESPs (Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus)
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices
- Light HTML/CSS and segmentation logic experience
- Background in email operations, preferably in a smaller agency or fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Analytical mindset with a knack for catching issues early
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with marketing analytics
- Familiarity with web design or direct mail
- Background in QA/QC or marketing operations
Team:
You'll work closely with other Email Specialist, PMs, and collaborate with the Comms Platform team as needed.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
