Summary:
Coordinates and directs the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Inspects property and evaluates the use of space and facilities.
- Analyzes HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting, and other factors.
- Plan, budgets, and schedules facilities modifications, including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
- Performs audits to support facility planning.
- Develops long-range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements and documentation for the facility.
- Formulates and coordinates program specifications, requirements for proposals and contracts, and associated documents.
- Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies.
- Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
- Oversees the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and communication services.
- Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facility equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Performs other duties as assigned, and assumes special projects as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages two or more subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 40+ regular employees in the Maintenance and Outside Services Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Ensures that supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
- 7-10 years of direct experience and/or training with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to compile, compute, and analyze pertinent data needed for reports.
- Ability to work with computer-based time and attendance, inventory, and job order systems.
- Casino Resort Hotel preferred.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high altitudes, precarious places, extreme heat/cold, and risk of electrical shock. Employees working in the Casino or Bowling Center may be exposed to second-hand smoke and moderate levels of noise.
