Job Summary

The Apprentice Installer will work under the guidance of an experienced trainer and will learn industry standards,

safety procedures, and technical skills necessary for professional blind installation and removal.


Part Time Opportunity of around 20 hours a week. Opportunity for advancement within small business.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Gains proficiency in installation and removal techniques, safety procedures, and industry terminology.
  • Participates in structured training, including an OSHA 10-hour safety course and weekly quizzes to assess learning progress.
  • Progresses toward independent or team-based removal and installations after 90 days.
  • Responsible for picking up and dropping off loose curtains as part of daily service operations.
  • Handles on-call isolation requests, ensuring timely response and support to facility needs.
  • Executes scheduled curtain cleaning projects, including full-facility curtain cleanings within designated timeframes.
  • Maintains professional communication with both customers and patients in specific jobsites.
  • Adheres to industry best practices, product handling guidelines, and company procedures.
  • Follows OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols, including the use of ladders
  • Maintains job site professionalism and adheres to installation and safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations related to hospitals.
  • Exposure to hospital environments, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
  • A current and valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is required.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • No prior experience necessary; hands-on training provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Some evening or weekend work may be required depending on job needs
  • Regular use of ladders at varying heights.


Compensation details: 16-16 Hourly Wage
