McGuireWoods’ Charlotte office is seeking an Associate to support its Debt Finance practice.
McGuireWoods has extensive experience representing issuers, underwriters, placement agents, initial purchasers and other credit parties in a wide variety of industries in complex public and private placements of high-yield, mezzanine, investment-grade and other debt securities, as well as bridge financings and restructuring and refinancing transactions for high-yield securities, including exchange and tender offers and consent solicitations. Our experience includes transactions for the financing, refinancing and recapitalization of companies in established and emerging industries, bridge financings, developing complex restructuring plans to revive troubled businesses and protect bondholder investments, and helping to retire less favorable debt.

- Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years of experience.
- Preferred candidates will have senior secured, mezzanine, second lien and/or syndicated finance experience as well as solid law firm work experience.
- Must be barred in North Carolina.
- Must have a strong academic record, excellent writing and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently with clients and colleagues.
