Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst Location: Montgomery, Alabama Job Type: W2 Contract (Ongoing) Expected hours per week: 40 hours Schedule: Onsite Pay Range: Job Description: The Cybersecurity Analyst will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) for the AMA, helping protect the organization's systems, networks, and data from security threats. This hands-on role focuses on security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and implementing security controls, with strong emphasis on Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon EDR, and Proofpoint security solutions. The position is 100% onsite in Montgomery, AL and requires at least four years of information security experience. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and anomalies from XDR, EDR, and SIEM platforms to identify and respond to potential threats. Investigate endpoint security incidents, malware activity, and suspicious behavior to assess impact and severity. Implement, maintain, document, and improve technical security controls and safeguards. Review infrastructure and system changes to ensure appropriate security protections are in place. Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and application security scans. Manage and support security tools including Proofpoint, CrowdStrike Falcon EDR, and related security technologies. Monitor access controls and internal security systems to ensure proper user permissions and compliance. Collaborate with IT teams and subject matter experts to resolve security incidents and strengthen defenses. Support security requirements throughout the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
