The LPGA is seeking a Content Producer/Video Editor with strong storytelling attributes, an eye for cinematic composition, and the creativity to produce dynamic, high-quality videos in tight deadlines. This is a remote role that reports to the Lead Content Producer. The primary responsibility is to serve as a key content creator across tournament coverage. Other primary responsibilities include assisting in editing LPGA Now and the Inside the LPGA Podcast. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated visual creator with a story-driven mindset.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Film and edit daily recaps of golfers, practice days, and tournament rounds.
• Work alongside fellow social producers in all aspects of video production.
• Conceptualize, write, shoot, and edit short-form content with emphasis on creativity that can be leveraged across multiple platforms.
• Communicate creative ideas within a collaborative environment including pitching concepts for original digital features and video series.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Communication, Digital, Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure social support for organizational priorities while maintaining brand guidelines.
• Meet quick turnarounds to post high-quality videos on same day(s) that event(s) occur.
• Provide remote editing coverage when not traveling.
• Identify trending social practices and analytics to optimize video and account performance.
• Label and archive video (content) within departmental standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
• One to three years of experience in sports video production (athletic department, team, or media brand).
• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Television/Film Production, Communications and/or related area of study preferred.
• Strong shooting and lighting experience with mirrorless, full-frame cameras. Must be adept at adjusting settings on the fly to achieve desired visual styles.
• Well versed in color correction/grading as well as various frame rates and file formats.
• Intermediate to advance knowledge and the ability to operate Adobe Creative Cloud including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and/or non-linear software.
• Knowledge of the professional and technical aspects of lighting, shooting, editing, compositing, and creating motion graphics.
• Demonstrated ability to produce compelling short-form and long-form content within established deadlines.
• Excellent two-way communicator who excels in collaboration, proactively engaging with others and effectively incorporating creative direction and feedback.
• Prior experience working with athletes in a professional setting.
• Working knowledge of golf is preferred with willingness to learn and grow in the sport.
• Must be able to travel approximately 12-16 times per year including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
