Posting Title: Construction Accounting ManagerReports To:Director, Project AccountingLocation:San Jose, California | Remote | Travel to jobsites as neededSalary Range: $165,000 to $190,000*This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The Finance Department is comprised of seven teams: Accounts Payable, Payroll, Billing, GL, FP&A, Tax, and Project Accounting that work closely together to ensure compliance and the financial well-being of the company.ABOUT THE ROLE

- Provide Operations leadership with in-depth, proactive analysis, feedback and recommendations to optimize individual project and project portfolio performance.
- Partners with Operations leadership to manage divisional profit and loss, division overhead expenses and to deliver against divisional profits.
- Supports divisional business planning and financial forecasting.
- Actively monitor project-level and overall group-level cash position and develop and implement programs to ensure the timely billing and ultimate collection of accounts receivable.
- Share responsibility for the accuracy and timely preparation and delivery of project forecasts and WIP reporting.
- Provide strategic, proactive financial planning support and advice to Operations leadership to support short-term and long-term growth.
- Review and evaluate new project opportunities and related contract terms to ensure alignment with the Company's risk profile and financial and strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX controls, and company policies.
- Oversee and provide guidance with respect to customer audits, claim/dispute matters, or other project related financial issues.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Tax Team on tax matters.
- Support the Project Executive team with financial training of new project team members.
- Maintain and analyze key control and reporting metrics utilizing data warehouse and the Power BI business intelligence tools.
- Potential for managing a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to collaborate and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and all levels of management.
- Effective at managing and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Attention to detail, proactive, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Familiarity with AIA, T&M, and Cost-Plus billing, retention tracking, and subcontractor compliance.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365, with advanced data management skills in Excel.
