Overview

This job helps REI succeed by giving steady compensation support to internal clients. This position leads or assists in designing, developing, implementing, administering, and communicating best practices. These practices support REI’s pay for performance culture, operations, and legal compliance. This role needs exceptional math, critical, and problem-solving skills. Acute attention to detail is required. The person must identify issues and suggest solutions through effective consultation with HR Business Partners. Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Administer REI’s compensation programs. This includes job examination and evaluation, market pricing of jobs, pay structure maintenance, incentive pay, and recognition plans.
  • Participate in a variety of approved salary surveys under the direction of the Sr Compensation Analyst.
  • Assist with compiling data, performing analytics, and presenting to HR and business leaders.
  • Work to ensure REI maintains legal compliance with applicable wage and hour laws.
  • Assist with planning and administration of annual merit process.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of educational/communication materials for REI employees regarding compensation processes and programs.
  • Perform ad hoc projects including research, examination and reports presenting findings/recommendations to varying levels of management.
  • Update compensation and performance management information on REI’s intranet site.
  • Assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of job descriptions.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Compensation.
  • Proficient in using data management and reporting tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibits exceptional attention to detail in everyday work and finished work products.
  • Exceptional critical, process and business acumen skills.
  • Handles confidential information effectively and appropriately.
  • Knowledge of standard compensation principles and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computerized HRIS applications preferred.
