Cloud Architect
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Employment Type: Contract to Permanent Hire with Client
Compensation: $200K - $230K
Job Description
· Designing and implementing a modern, integrated cloud/hybrid cloud platform that is both future-proof and aligned with current performance/mission objectives.
· Understand multiple components and document the complete architecture of the current cloud/hybrid cloud platform implementation.
· Manage the entire technical baseline, including the environment(s) and applications, providing comprehensive recommendations for improving and optimizing the existing solution.
· Enabling successful accomplishment of performance objectives for scalability, reliability, security, resiliency, efficiency, and observability.
· Document architectures, dependencies, interfaces, workflows, and processes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Collaborate with multiple teams responsible for implementing each component of the cloud/hybrid cloud platform and infrastructure to ensure their alignment with enterprise level objectives and roadmaps, to understand blockers, report status, and collect metrics.
· Working closely with stakeholders to understand and translate requirements into detailed architectural designs (i.e., as-is/to-be) that align with strategic goals.
· Enabling application, enterprise, and environment engineering teams in development and deployment of solutions that meet performance, security, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
· Championing for efficiency, automation, continuous optimization of resources, enhanced platform/cloud services, ensuring seamless interoperability and integration with existing platforms.
· Continuously evaluating and recommending existing and emerging tools, technologies, and practices that enhance the cloud and platform capabilities, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
· Monitoring and optimizing cloud and platform services to ensure high performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively adapt and evolve our architectural strategies.
Requirements
· US Citizen and Possession of a current Top-Secret Clearance
· Minimum 15 years of professional experience as a as a cloud engineer, hybrid cloud engineer, DevOps engineer, or software systems engineer
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, STEM, or IT from an accredited institution
· Possession of the following certification:
o Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
o IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+).
