CHRISTIAN CONTRACT CHAPLAIN Belmont Correctional Institution located at Bannock Uniontown Rd, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950 is seeking a part time Contract Chaplain to conduct weekly non-denominational Christian services, faith studies, and general pastoral care for Incarcerated Adults for approximately 28-40 hours per week.
This contract position requires the timely submission of monthly service reports, attendance at an annual Religious Services Contractors Meeting, assisting the Institutional Chaplain in conducting Saturday and Sunday Worship Services, and other Specialized Ministries such as Residential Treatment Units, visitation in confined living areas, and conducting holiday and funeral services.
The candidate for this contract position must have an accredited bachelor's degree in Theology or related field, be ordained/licensed, and in good standing through his/her local congregation or denomination.
Candidates will also be subject to a criminal background check and must assume the responsibility of working in a potentially hazardous environment. Clinical Pastoral Education and/or military chaplain training are helpful but not required. The Contract term will begin July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025 with an optional two-year renewal with a rate of $20.60 per hour.
