Responsible for overseeing the delivery of education services to all age levels of the Head Start and/or Early Head Start programs. Supervises the direct delivery of transition services to children, families, and schools. Supervises the direct delivery of development assessments and reporting to children, families, and schools. Serves as liaison between Big Five and local and state literacy organizations. Develops the Literacy Program for Head Start and/or Early Head Start families. Bachelors Degree in an education related field and two years of experience in a supervisory capacity which includes training skills. Preference will be given to persons with certification in Early Childhood. Excellent communication skills required. Must be capable of making presentations to staff groups, public education groups, or community service groups. Job retention will be based on performance and compliance with the agencys policies and procedures. Eligible applicants must pass a DHS Background review. Pre-employment drug testing required. Must have a valid Oklahoma drivers license, proof of automobile liability insurance and a good driving record. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
