The Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI is hiring a full- time Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team!
Shift Schedule: This is a first shift position.

About WVRC:WVRC, Waukesha is recognized as a certified Level 1 Emergency and Critical Care Facility by the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS).

We have three hospital locations: Waukesha, Racine and Grafton alldedicated to providing patients, clients, and referring veterinarians the highest quality emergency and specialty veterinary medical care. WVRC offers a warm, friendly atmosphere where our main goal is to provide compassionate care to our patients and clients as well as offering outstanding customer service.

Schedule:

To be discussed during interview process. This department requires weekends and some holiday coverage.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 1yearof technical experience (ER experience preferred but not required)
CVT required at time of hire or within nine months of hire
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Advocate for patient care
Self-motivated with a passion for veterinary medicine
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Advanced technical skill set such as restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement and general nursing care experience is required. General anesthesia knowledge is preferred.
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
