Overview

The Bazooka Companies, LLC, is seeking Part Time Candy Operator Packers for our Moosic, PA production facility which produces the iconic Ring Pop candy. Up to (24) hours per week. $15.00 per hour

With iconic brands including Ring Pop, Push Pop, Bazooka Bubblegum, & Juicy Drop, BCB is one of the leading manufacturers & innovators of non-chocolate confections in the US.

Responsibilities

The Candy Operator Packer performs various operating, feeding, filling, forming and closing operations necessary for the continuous packaging of candy products as assigned. 

We are currently looking to fill positions on all shifts. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operates production machine, supplying candy and material as necessary; continuously observes operation for proper wrapping
• Cleans jams from machine; cleans parts such as wheels, guides, heat plates, etc. 
• Assures proper feeding of material by aligning or otherwise manipulating; maintains the wrapping feed during the process
• Performs minor machine lubrication
• Form boxes or cartons to catch output directly from wrapping machine; catches product and closes refilled boxes as required
• Manually feeds product though wrapping machine as required
• Performs continuous inspection of wrapped product; discards substandard product and sorts reusable items during machine downtime
• Forms boxes and load with specified number of wrapped packages, adds specified inserts, closes box and asides as required
• Makes up shipping cartons and load filled boxes into cartons; stamps cartons and seals with tape or staples, using automatic or manual equipment as required
• Responsible for proper inspection so as to guarantee the packing of an acceptable quality finished product
• Must wear gloves furnished when handling or deeding unwrapped hard candy items
• Assists in emergency shutdown of equipment only under emergency conditions
• Performs other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must possess the ability to read, write and comprehend oral instructions
• Previous production experience in a factory setting 
• Experience in food production strongly preferred
