Overall we are the #1 private staffing solutions company in North America with over 800 offices in the U.S, Canada and South Africa. Each office is franchised and locally owned so we are vested in building relationships with businesses in the city and finding jobs for people. The Philadelphia office located in Center City has been open since 1989 and changed ownership in 2013.

We are experts in temporary and evaluation (temp-to-perm) staffing, contract staffing services and direct hire placements. We specialize in administrative, professional and commercial staffing.

We are looking for a full time business development manager to help secure new business to continue our significant growth. This is done by identifying potential business opportunities and contacting key decision makers, through sales calls by phone and getting as many appointments as possible. We have a database of several thousand companies that you will be calling on frequently and adding to as you discover new businesses we have not contacted or that are new in the area. Successful people in this role are comfortable engaging with business people at all levels, selling intangible, critical business services. This requires the ability to use consultative selling techniques (communication skills, questioning and listening techniques, etc.) and the discipline of being persistent while following a daily and weekly plan, with the desire to become a top performing sales professional.

These essential functions will be asked of the selected candidate:

* Having 20 conversations a day with prospects

. Secure 10 appointments a week and land at least 2 new clients per week.

* Document all calls in Sales Planner.

* Effectively meet with decision-makers assess needs to secure accounts.

* Prepare and execute a daily sales plan to identify companies and offices to contact.

* Complete online research to better understand the company's business plus identify the names of some key decision makers.

Expected first year compensation including base salary and commission is $75,000 to $90,000 depending on sales results.
