We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Wealth and Distribution technology team. In this position, you will support key initiatives impacting our wealth management business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the financial services industry and wealth management knowledge. In this role, you will be responsible for eliciting and documenting business requirements, understanding technical dependencies, and helping to envision creative solutions to both business and technical challenges. Candidate must be agile, collaborative and possess excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
The Team
The Wealth Management Technology Team is global with team members located in 3 countries. We support a complex and very dynamic business for product delivery, financial planning services, lending services, and investment operations. The team's mission statement is to "provide exceptional service and support to project workstreams and business stakeholders by meeting or exceeding expectations"; and a guiding principle is to "deliver the best quality solution as quickly as possible without compromising best practices or strategic goals". Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of Business Analyst experience
- 3+ years of experience in asset or wealth management (Financial Planning, Investment Management, Regulatory Reporting, Trust and Estate Planning etc.)
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Perform requirements gathering and scope management planning for large scale projects
- Exceptional in technical writing
- QA functional testing skills

The Impact - Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Excels in the handling of broad scope projects and works independently on multiple project tasks, including leading business analysis across multiple parallel initiatives.
- Clearly define business and/or systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable industry requirements, including the facilitation of requirements gather sessions and documentation of business system requirements and use cases.
- Work closely with both business and technical stakeholders and seek opportunities to improve the way we operate business.
- Assist other team members with understanding the business requirements and provides business analysts on the team with mentorship and coaching.
- Participate in all phases of project planning, development and testing and collaborate with business and systems experts.
- Lead analysis of business processes, procedures, data and rules
- Provide oversight of overall quality of work product
- Negotiate and influence requirements direction
- Lead/consult on escalated support issues and root cause analysis
- Provide business analysts on the team with mentorship and coaching
