Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is looking for a Business Analyst / QA Specialist. This is a remote freelance role, but candidates must be able to work standard Central Time (CT) business hours.
The role starts as soon as early July and is 30-40 hours/week for 6 months. There is potential to extend.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, QA Analyst, or in a hybrid role supporting digital projects (Project Management background can also be a fit).
- Proven ability to write and execute manual test cases across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Strong understanding of web development processes, digital product lifecycles, and responsive design.
- Excellent documentation skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear, testable requirements.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Workfront.
- Availability to work during Central Time (CT) business hours, the team does a daily 8:30 AM stand up call.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product and Project Managers to gather and document comprehensive business and functional requirements.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases that clearly define system behaviors and expected outcomes.
- Develop and maintain detailed manual test cases aligned with user flows and wireframes.
- Execute QA testing across desktop and mobile platforms, identifying and documenting defects and inconsistencies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and thorough testing coverage.
- Participate in sprint planning, UAT reviews, and deployment readiness discussions.
- Maintain organized documentation for test cases, known issues, and testing signoffs.
Nice to haves:
- Experience in healthcare, highly regulated, or enterprise digital environments.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility testing.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, particularly Drupal or Acquia.
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid project delivery frameworks.
